Electricity, Heating, bedding and towels are provided within the price. Cleaning materials are supplied in the accommodation. Tea, coffee, milk and bread are also supplied on arrival.

Shorelines Accommodation was newly built in 2006, the house consists of one twin bedroom, one double bedroom with en-suite wet room, a separate bathroom with bath and shower and a kitchen/living area with glass end overlooking the sea. From the glass end you walk out on to a private walled garden area with decking (outside seating provided) and a barbecue area at the far end of the garden (A gas barbecue is also provided). There is private parking for one car and extra parking nearby if need be. The kitchen is supplied with a double electric oven/grill, washer/dryer machine, fridge, microwave, and dishwasher. There is a digital TV with freeview and DVD player in the sitting room area and a hairdryer in the bedroom. There is also a digital TV in the twin bedroom and a CD/Radio in the livingroom area. Under floor heating is fitted throughout. All rooms are decorated in a modern style combined with a bit of Jane’s artistic décor! The living area is particularly nice with open beams and fitted lighting. Wireless broadband connection is also available for those with a laptop.

Finstown is a village of around 1000 people, 6 miles from the main town of Kirkwall and 7 miles from the town of Stromness. The village has a pub, a local grocer/off licence, garage and post office. There are various walks around the surrounding area and it is in a central location for visiting World Heritage sites such as The Ring of Brodgar and Skara Brae Neolithic village. Next to the accommodation is Jane Glue’s gallery and teaching studio where you can arrange to have watercolour painting lessons with Jane if you wish.

Conditions: Provisional bookings must be confirmed in writing within 10 days accompanied by a 25% deposit of the full amount due. (Non-Refundable in the event of cancellation). Accommodation is available for entry from 3pm on day of arrival and must be vacated no later than 10.30am on day of departure. Arrival and departure day is a Saturday.

Arrival between 3pm and 4.30pm is preferred but if you wish to arrive later please contact Jane so that she can be there to meet you.

WE OPERATE A STRICTLY NON-SMOKING POLICY AND DO NOT ALLOW DOGS IN THE PROPERTY.

There will be a refundable charge of £100 made on arrival to cover any extra damage or extra cleaning charges, (this can be done by leaving your credit card details with us as when you arrive, this amount will not be credited to us unless appropriate).

CANCELLATIONS: You must cancel your reservation at least 21 days prior to your arrival date to ensure full refund of balance payment.  You are advised to check your travel insurance.
